What is a Lawful Sheriff?
The Sheriff on the Land and soil is responsible for the enforcement of the Organic Law and Public Law of our nation-state, and has sweeping powers to deputize men/women, commandeer equipment, facilities, and supplies in order to secure the peace and guarantee the safety and security of the people and their property. The duty of the sheriff is to ensure The Constitution is upheld and to protect the people of his or her county. A Lawful County Sheriff will have a Public Bond and a notarized Affirmation of Public Office recorded on the Public Record as acceptance of these responsibilities.
What inspires a man or woman to take on the Public Office of Sheriff?
A strong desire to Serve and Protect the people and uphold the rights of the people.
The Founders of this Nation and of Iowa believed in the power of “the people” to self-govern.
The People of Iowa are at Peace. We stand with Love for our brethren, our nation-state and America. We are not criminals or ruffians and we do not desire nor seek to cause or experience trouble or harm. We wish to be left in Peace to live our lives in full expression of our inherent Rights and Freedom. The Sheriff must stand with the people when their Rights and Freedom are being disregarded and usurped.
The Duty of a Sheriff is to “the people” and the time is NOW!
As a Governance structure of, by and for The People, the duty of the Sheriff and our Peacekeepers is to ensure that The Constitution is upheld and to ensure the security of the people and their property. In the American Governance structure, “the sheriff is the embodiment of the Public Law and its chief enforcer.” (Anna Von Reitz, The Jural Assembly Handbook, Section 13)
